Decoding the popular celebrity Mouni Roy's wedding outfits blow by blow!

Popular Tv actress “Mouni Roy” & Dubai-based entrepreneur, and investment banker “Suraj Nambiar” decided to take the plunge in a destination wedding in Goa at Hilton Goa Resort.  They tied the knot in a dual wedding ceremony on the cheery shores of Goa on January 27, 2022. Their fans went into frenzy when the pictures of their 3-day wedding festivities at the plush riverside Hilton Goa Resort in Candolim surfaced. The couple had two wedding ceremonies, a Malayali wedding in the morning followed by a Bengali shaadi in the late evening, considering their respective cultural roots. Mouni, who never fails to make stunning sartorial statements, obviously made some exceptional outfit choices for her wedding. While traditional aesthetics dominated her bridal repertoire, she also managed to add a whiff of contemporary feels.

The wedding revelries kicked off with an intimate haldi ceremony. For the auspicious haldi ceremony, the actress embraced a dreamy white lehenga with ornate golden borders designed by Anuradha Khurana. She completed her look with a matching white floral jewelry set comprising a maang tikka and hathphools from Delhi-based label Prune. Her set of floral jewels is priced at Rs 7,500.Mouni's glam picks with the Haldi look includes smoky eye shadow, sleek winged eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, nude pink lip shade, and blushed cheeks.Taking the couple-coordination game a notch higher, Suraj also paired with her in a white kurta set. For the mehendi ceremony, Mouni, glowering in a voguish yellow lehenga, picked the ensemble from the exquisite collection of designer Payal Singhal. She wore a yellow lehenga with gold booties paired with a tasseled halter neck choli. The statement blouse featured seashell details along with ogle-worthy cascading tassels. Her stunning jewelry set comprising an elaborate maang tikka and earrings by golecha jewels completed her look. Mouni’s outfit was in tandem with the dress code for the occasion which was ‘bright lehengas and traditional kurtas’ and the price of this beautiful lehenga is around 59,500 approx. A bright pout, glowing cheeks, and falsies rounded out her look. Mouni-Roy-wedding (6) Mouni-Roy-wedding (7) Mouni-Roy-wedding (8) Mouni-Roy-wedding (9) Mouni-Roy-wedding (10)

Paying ode to Suraj Nambiar’s Malayali roots, Bengali girl Mouni Roy made for a stunning South Indian bride in a white silk Kasavu saree designed by Anuradha Khurana. The saree was accentuated by jacquard and brocade gold zari work with bright red border, exuding a regal appeal. To accessorize her look she chose heavy gold temple jewelry that included a matha-patti, a nakshi work waist belt, jhumkas, bangles, a choker, and a long lakshmi haar crafted in pure 22-carat gold. Temple jewelry had carvings of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi. She completed her look with a quintessential kamarbandh and a gajra-adorned braid. Mouni honored her background by turning into a Bengali bride for the traditional ceremony. She donned a traditional red Sabyasachi lehenga consisting of a half-blouse, voluminous skirt and a matching dupatta, all accented with Sabyasachi’s signature crafts as bold floral motifs and statement borders. The breezy, and flared lehenga had bold floral motifs paired with a double organza dupatta inscribed with the blessing ‘Ayushvati Bhava’ embroidered in gold zari on the hem. If you look closely, you’ll notice that Roy’s bridal veil with a kiran trimming is strikingly similar to Deepika Padukone and Patralekhaa Paul’s wedding dupatta. Keeping with the gold palette of her red and gold Sabyasachi lehenga, Mouni Roy chose to wear traditional jewelry by Anmol Jewellers including a pair of chandbali earrings, choker, matha patti and a stack of bangles with uncut diamonds, emerald beads. Soft kohl-rimmed eyes, rosy cheeks, a red lip color and a sleek bun completed her wedding look. For her sangeet look, Mouni opted for a heavily embellished Falguni Shane Peacock golden lehenga set with a full-sleeved blouse and voluminous skirt with a dupatta to match. The traditional outfit comes replete with nude tulle panels that balance the heavy embellishments of the ensemble. It features a cropped backless blouse with a plunging sweetheart neckline, corseted bodice, intricate gold jali, sequins and beaded embroidery, and sheer nude panels on the sleeves. She accessorized the look with a statement gold and green necklace, maang tikka, and dangler earrings. The actress’ sangeet and mehendi jewels were designed by Roopali Golecha of Golecha Jewels. The necklace she wore was a double-sided piece. The front side was completely made of polki and emeralds, and the other side had emeralds, rubies, and diamonds. There were peacocks designed on the necklace. The muddle Polki was 36Ct and besides that, there were small peacocks that had small pieces of emeralds in their mouths. She paired her jewelry with an all-emerald earrings. There were 100 emeralds in the earrings, (50Ct each). The maang tikka was made of emerald and uncut diamond, giving it a classic bridal touch.
