Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, the Diva of Games of Thrones Finally Says “I Do”
Joe Jonas, brother of Nick Jonas and one of the lead singers in the famous pop rock band, The Jonas Brothers and Sophie Turner, the famous character Sansa Stark from the popular series, Game of Thrones stunned their fans by getting married in an impromptu ceremony. The wedding took place in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
The couple was introduced to each other by mutual friends and they were first spotted together in 2016. At that time, Joe was 29 and Sophie was 23 years old. They started seeing each other and decided to spend Thanksgiving holiday together. They were also spotted at Kings of Leon Concert that was held in the Netherlands. Sophie confirmed her relationship with Joe Jonas, and they were captured in a picture in a Miami boat showing Joe smoking a cigar.
In early 2017, they decided to break the news and accepted their relationship on Instagram. The couple further strengthened their relationship by adopting an adorable husky in September 2017.
Just a month later, Joe popped the question and proposed to Sophie and she said “yes.” Both shared the picture on Instagram for their fans. Sophie’s pear-shaped diamond attracted a lot of attention and “oohs” and “aahs” from fans who simply adored this young lovelorn couple. The couple’s engagement at New York’s plush restaurant, Mamo was attended by close friends and relatives.
Few months back they also attended Priyanka and Nick’s wedding in India. Both looked stunning in indian attire.
Speculations were rife that the couple is going to get married in France, but they decided to stun everyone by eloping to Las Vegas and getting married in a private ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
This celebrity wedding took place right after Jonas Brothers gave a spellbinding performance at 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The couple obtained marriage certificate on the same day.
The event was attended by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas’s wife along with Jonas sisters, Danielle and Sophie. The high point of wedding was the ceremony presided over by an Elvis Presley lookalike. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Dan and Shay, the popular music duo who performed Speechless, their most popular song. Kevin and Nick Jonas, Joe’s brothers were the groomsmen. Immediately after the wedding, the couple hopped on a jet and rushed back to LA. Sophie was seen wearing a “Just Married” sash.
On her wedding day, Sophie Turner was looking her stylish self as always wearing white Bevza Jumpsuit and a lovely veil. Joe looked dapper in a stylishly cut grey-coloured double-breasted suit. The news of this much-awaited wedding started to make rounds after Diplo, the American DJ-record producer started posting videos of the ceremony.
The couple is planning another wedding, this time in Europe, preferably France, in a formal ceremony where all their friends and relatives who missed Las Vegas ceremony would be invited.
Massie Williams aka Arya Stark, the fierce warrior from Games of Thrones is expected to be the maid of honour.
